Source and method
All figures are from Ontario Health’s public reporting, as published with its August 2026 data. This report compares July 2026 with June 2026 and with July 2025. Surgery and scan figures are the average days waited by non-urgent (priority 4) adult patients whose wait ended that month, rounded to whole days; for surgery, days to see the surgeon plus days to surgery. Only one-month figures are compared, never a quarter or a year. A hospital is counted only with 10 or more patients for each wait in the month, and in both months for a change. Emergency room figures are the average time from triage or registration to first assessment by a doctor, for all patients. Ontario Health can revise earlier months. Nothing here says why a wait changed. How these numbers work
